His real estate practice includes the leasing, financing, acquisition and sale of commercial property, as well as the operation, development, conversion and sale of residential properties. Schwartz has extensive experience in transactional work. Having practiced since 1986 in the real estate area, Mr. Schwartz is a founding partner and the managing partner of the firm. His teaching interests, in addition to one-on-one teaching in the OR, include early CA-1 education, resident remediation, and preparation for board certification. His clinical interests include thoracic anesthesia, vascular anesthesia, and high-risk anesthesia. He recruited, mentored, educated, nurtured, and was the life coach for almost 300 accomplished graduates and worked to continually improve the residency program and resident wellness. For 13 years, he was Program Director of the residency program. He was Director of Medical Student Education for 17 years, and was Director of CQI/M&M for 12 years. After completing his residency in Anesthesiology at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, he joined the Yale School of Medicine faculty as Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology in 1989. Schwartz received his medical degree from State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in 1985. Jeffrey Schwartz is Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Program Director Emeritus of the Anesthesiology Residency Program.
